Description

Parlor at John Furbish's house at 10 Cumberland Street, Brunswick, which is the historic residence of his father, Benjamin Furbish, tin-plate worker and hardware store merchant in 1844. The house was built approximately between 1836 and 1840. Noteable children of Benjamin who grew up in the house: John, principal founder of the Pejepscot Historical Society and Kate, prominent botanist and botanical artist.
